Different Types of Headphones

!±8± Different Types of Headphones

Headphones have been around for awhile now but still represent a huge portion of the headphone market today. There is of course a good reason for this and it is the popularity of iPods and MP3 players. Due to huge demand for headphones in the market, it created options for the following varieties available.

Circumaural headphone: Usually used in recording studios. Large round ear pads, covering the ears completely; acts as sound proof from outside environment.

Ear buds headphones: Stylish appearance and most widely used. However, they tend to cause irritation to other commuters when traveling. This is because they sit on the outer area the ear and do not block outside noise so it demands higher volume for the wearer to enjoy the music, which is not good for ears and as well the sound travels to the outside world causing disturbance to people around.

Supra-aural headphones: Foam rubber headsets, usually cheap and can be easily damaged.

Canal phones: Directly put into the ear canal giving a good quality sound, cutting down the interference of outside noise. This makes the Canal phone / in the ear headphone ideal for music lovers with its cleaner listening environment.

If you are in the market for a pair of ear buds from the above suggested, you may start to wonder about some of the terms used i.e. noise isolating or noise canceling. The difference between these two things is the kind of sounds they can block for sound clarity. So, why waiting choose your best headphones and enjoy rock, soft, or harmonic music as per mood.
